Acupressure is an ancient healing art that was brought to the West from China and Japan. Used as a complement to Western health care practices, Acupressure is an important tool for modern living.

There are 14 meridians (energy pathways) that circulate chi (life force) throughout the body. Acupoints are the gateways into the meridian system. The stresses of daily life (work or family stress, pollution, poor eating habits, lack of exercise, lack of sleep, etc.) create blockages in the circulation of chi in the meridians. These blockages can result in a large variety of symptoms creating physical and emotional discomfort.

The chi is then released allowing the body’s natural healing resources to go to work. When homeostasis is regained, symptoms recede and eventually disappear. Health and well-being are improved and vitality for life is renewed.
