Reiki is a Japanese word representing Universal Life Energy. Reiki Usui Shiki Ryoho is a living oral tradition of healing and balance. Reiki was established in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui in the 1920’s.
Reiki is a practice that encompasses four basic aspects of life: physical healing, personal growth, spiritual discipline and mystic order. People drawn to Reiki come through one of these four doors.
• Physical or emotional pain propels a need for assistance.
• A desire for living in line with spiritual perspectives stimulates inquiry.
• Desire to gain a deeper understanding of our mystical universe can result in learning about the practice of Reiki.
“Having Reiki in my life has been and continues to be a blessing on a daily basis. As the mother of two very active young boys, who seem to constantly find new ways to hurt themselves, I really appreciate the ease of having this amazing healing source and “first aid kit” with me at all times!
The emotional and spiritual aspect has been deeply meaningful to me personally, and has helped me stay grounded and centered during stressful times. I really feel that Reiki is a tool from which every person can benefit, regardless of their individual situation or phase of life. I am so grateful for Reiki!” Cecily Underwood
An initiated Reiki practitioner applies Reiki through the gentle laying on of hands. The flow of Reiki energy fills the practitioner first and continues to flow while placing the hands on self or others.
Reiki’s essence is balance and can stimulate a wide variety of responses that lead to useful changes in life.
Reiki accelerates the body‘s ability to heal physical ailments and opens the mind and spirit to the causes of disease and pain, and the necessity for taking responsibility for one’s life.
Private session options are:
In person: full body hands-on treatment (clothed, no oils or massaging).
Distance treatment: a full body Reiki treatment done remotely. We connect by phone or online before and after the treatment.
Situations of all kinds can also be addressed through distance treatment. Reiki can benefit past, present and future experiences through providing a state of balance to those involved. Some examples are: important events (weddings, surgeries, changes in location, travel); a past trauma that hasn’t fully resolved; times of crisis or emergency.

Second Degree Reiki – Reiki II
Second degree asks for a deeper commitment from the Reiki student and teaches three symbols: one to access second degree, one for mental-emotional balancing and one for sending distant treatment. Second degree requires a full year of practice with First Degree Reiki to fully experience the benefits that were gained in the first training. A First Degree class audit with Amy is also required to review the necessary details for moving into the next level of training.
“I have always held dear the notion that this lineage of Reiki that I have received from you is a sacred treasure. When someone asks me about learning Reiki, I always refer them to you. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful teacher and mentor.” Allie Thompson
Reiki Master
Third degree is a lifetime commitment to using Reiki in Mastery and is only for those who feel a calling to teach. Contact Amy for more information.

Deepening Reiki
In Deepening Reiki we explore how to use the Second Degree symbols to deeply benefit our lives. Every workshop is a unique experience. This class is for Second Degree and Master Reiki Practitioners.
The three traditional symbols of Reiki Usui Shiki Ryoho are: power, mental/emotional, and distance.
All three provide useful tools to extend Reiki’s influence in our lives. Through contemplative and honest inquiry, the infinite potential for using the symbols becomes apparent.
In each workshop, we take time to discuss the current concerns of the students present. Then, we identify how best to address these needs with the symbols. To conclude the process, we spend time sending Reiki to the subject we’ve clarified in our inquiries.
“Every time I participate in a Deepening Reiki Class, I have a new appreciation for Amy’s skill in teaching us how to take our relationship with Reiki to a new level of awareness within ourselves. I always come away with a new insight and a renewed relationship with Reiki.” Kelli Sage
