Reiki is a Japanese word representing Universal Life Energy. Reiki Usui Shiki Ryoho is a living oral tradition for healing and balance. Reiki was established in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui in the 1920’s.
An initiated Reiki practitioner applies Reiki through the gentle laying on of hands. The flow of Reiki energy addresses imbalances in body. mind and spirit.
Reiki accelerates the body‘s ability to heal physical ailments and opens the mind and spirit to the causes of disease and pain, and the necessity for taking responsibility for one’s life.
Reiki’s essence is balance and gives us the ability to maintain balanced wellness in our lives and to lovingly assist family and friends.

Today, Reiki is available in a wide variety of environments. All types of health professionals rely on Reiki to speed recovery from illness and trauma and to replenish the practitioner’s energy. Practiced internationally by thousands, devoted students and Masters are using Reiki to transform people’s lives.
Reiki Sessions
There are a variety of ways to experience Reiki in private sessions and through workshops (see below).

Private session options are:
- In person: full body hands-on treatment (clothed, no oils or massaging).
- Distance treatment: a full body Reiki treatment done remotely. We connect by phone or online before and after the treatment.
- Situations of all kinds can also be addressed through distance treatment. Reiki can benefit past, present and future experiences through providing a state of balance to those involved. Some examples are: important events (weddings, surgeries, changes in location, travel); a past trauma that hasn’t fully resolved; times of crisis or emergency.
Either in person or online, the situation is discussed with Amy. Then, she sends Reiki to the issue that was agreed upon and a short discussion concludes the session.

Reiki Level One
First degree students are initiated into the practice of Reiki for self-treatment and to offer to loved ones through a simple, hands-on sequence. This class is offered in three hours a day for a sequence of four days in a row.
“I have always held dear the notion that this lineage of Reiki that I have received from you is a sacred treasure. When someone asks me about learning Reiki, I always refer them to you. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful teacher and mentor.
Reiki is very important in my life. I can hardly remember what it was like to not have it.” Allie Thompson

Reiki Level Two
Second degree asks for a deeper commitment from the Reiki student and teaches three symbols: one to access second degree, one for mental-emotional balancing and one for sending distant treatment. Second degree requires a full year of practice with First degree Reiki to fully experience the benefits that were gained in the first training. A First degree class audit with Amy is also required to review the necessary details for moving into the next level of training.

“Every time I participate in a Deepening Reiki Class, I have a new appreciation for Amy’s skill in teaching us how to take our relationship with Reiki to a new level of awareness within ourselves. I always come away with a new insight and a renewed relationship with Reiki.” Kelli Sage
Reiki Level Three – Master
Third level is a lifetime commitment to using Reiki in Mastery and is only for those who feel a calling to teach. Contact Amy for more information.

Reiki Master, Amy Erez
Amy Erez has been practicing Reiki Usui Shiki Ryoho since 1987. Her mastery training began with a deep personal calling. Her commitment to a daily Reiki practice and regular attendance at her teacher’s classes resulted in a profound change in Amy’s experience of life.
After four years of intensive Reiki training, Amy was initiated as a Reiki Master by Susan Mitchell, student of Grandmasters Hawayo Takata and Phyllis Lei Furumoto. Amy has studied extensively with Phyllis Lei Furumoto and Paul David Mitchell, the Reiki Usui Shiki Ryoho Head of Discipline.

Amy’s emphasis is on holding Reiki from a sacred space and supporting her students in achieving the most profound, life-changing experiences possible through the practice of Reiki.

Amy is a wonderful teacher with an obvious passion for Reiki and a genuine love for teaching it. Her years of teaching Reiki show in her ability to take an esoteric subject and transmit/teach it in such a down-to-earth fashion that it is easy to understand and absorb. My long wait for Reiki instruction resulted in finding an excellent Reiki instructor in Amy Erez.” Carol Atkinson
